Ingredients
For the mass:
- 350g of flour
- 1 sachet of baking powder or baking powder (16g)
- 230g sugar
- 1 sachet of vanilla sugar (8g)
- 4 or 5 eggs
- 200 ml of orange soda or soda
- 130ml sunflower oil
- 1 pinch of salt
- Butter or margarine
For the glaze
- 250 g de azúcar glass
- 6 or 7 tablespoons of orange soda or soda
- colored sugar shavings to decorate
Preparation
Before starting with the dough, put a little butter or margarine on the oven tray and preheat the oven to 180° with heat up and down.
In a bowl, mix the flour with the baking powder. Add the sugar, the vanilla sugar, the eggs, the pinch of salt, the eggs, the orange soda and the oil and beat everything with a hand mixer. If you want something less sweet you can lower the amount of sugar.
Then we put the dough on the oven tray, which we had previously preheated and greased with butter or margarine, and smooth it out with a spatula. We leave the dough for 20 minutes in the oven at 180 ° until the cake is golden. After that time, we can prick with a toothpick to see if it is done: if it comes out clean, we let it cool, if not, we leave it for another five minutes. Check out more recipes on at Pet Pooja.
When the cake is completely cold, we prepare the glaze. To do this, in a bowl we mix approximately 250 grams of icing sugar with 6 or 7 tablespoons of orange soda and pour it on our cake. The easiest way to spread it is with a brush. As the glaze dries very quickly, we have to hurry to decorate the cake with whatever we prefer, in this case we have put some colored sugar shavings that we had at home but you can, for example, let your imagination run wild.
