Today we are going to prepare a potito or mashed rice with chicken and vegetables, which our babies will surely love.
Rice is a cereal that we can introduce into the diet of our babies from the age of six months as it does not contain gluten, it is not allergenic and it is very easy to digest. It contains potassium, it has no sodium, its fat content is very low, and it is a source of energy since it contains a lot of starch.
It is a staple food for much of the world’s population. In a balanced diet, we should take it several times a week, and since it is low in nutrients, it is good to combine it, as in this case, with pureed vegetables and chicken .
As always, the ingredients are indicative, you can add or remove what you want, depending on the age of your baby and the instructions of your pediatrician.

- 2 carrots
- 1 leek
- 1 zucchini

Peel the vegetables, chop them and cook them together with the rice in a pot with water, when they are cooked add the chopped chicken breast and let it cook. Drain and blend with a little of the cooking water.
Elaboration with Thermomix
Peel the vegetables, chop and put in the glass. Chop at speed 5 for a few seconds. Add the rice, a glass of water and program 15 minutes at 100º at spoon speed. When the time is up, we incorporate the chopped chicken breast and program another 5 minutes and at the end we grind at maximum power minute. With these quantities, five jars have come out. We will only have to add a little extra virgin olive oil before giving it to our baby.
